REFLECTION | ICT | 1ST GRADING
A period before break is ICT subject. It's not that hard nor it's not that easy. ICT isn't my favorite subject nor it's not what I hate most. It's good to know that all of our ICT teachers since first year are kind. They were not that strict and they were not that lenient.
ICT subject is very interesting because of those hands-on activities. Since I enter the high school life, i discovered the world of internet until every such time, I can discover new things about it. And because of that internet became a big portion of my existence. I can't imagine my life without this. A life with a black and white color-means blunt, boring, no excitement.
This year during the first grading period, I felt little disappointment 'cause I get low scores. I memorized well, but there was a time that my mind was blocked. I can't remember those things I've reviewed. But for that, I didn't gave up. It serves as a challenge for me to strive harder. I raised myself to make my blog catchy, attractive and unique It was also a good start when we won as a 1st runner-up in Nutri-Jingle Competition and for the last quiz we took, i nearly got a perfect score, a one mistake. It's just okay, atleast I did my best.
Now, I'm preparing to face another challenges and hoping that this second grading period it would be better that the first.
PRESIDENT'S 3RD SONA
Keeping an eye on every aspect of the government whether LGUs or under the National Government in terms of fraudulent transactions is really satisfying and worth emulating. With due respect to the president, I believe that our country is in good hands. Goodbye to all crooks and welcome those who are genuinely looking forward to serve and protect decency in the work force. All the hard works and sacrifices of our able and hardworking officials will be a testament of their unending and untiring service to the general public. How I wish, all of us will do the same in shaping and reshaping the Philippines for a better and brighter future.
The government has authoritatively showed its fangs in delivering fair and just treatment to all individuals especially in the government. No wonder that we were recognized as one of the improving countries as far as implementing the zero tolerance and transparency are concerned. It is quite understandable now, that we are paving the right and straight path towards genuine unity for a progressive country. Leading the people now especially the youth who are the hope of the fatherland will contribute greatly to the upliftment of the lives of the people.
Figuratively speaking, we are tracking all the prerequisites towards change and leave the footprints of yesterday behind. Moreover, with the clean up drive of the government in terms of abusive officials, countries have already shown up their interest to invest in the country. This good news will further boost the economy of the Philippines, thus generating more jobs for the people. If this continues to happen for several years or even decades, no doubt the country will be placed atop the pedestal. The solid and concerted efforts of the people and the government truly epitomizes the ideals of unity, discipline and decency which are basic requirements bridging the country to the world. Making a concrete, clear and precise plan for the future is indeed a strategic plan that really worked out. Now that our ideals are now becoming one as a nation, it is apt then to act vigilantly and safeguard our own rights and bail it to success.
The Philippines is leaping now as high as an eagle, stand as rocks and dreaming big for the future. Consequently, there are still unknown individuals who try to put shackles in our arms and hinder us from reaching our dreams. However, with God and majority of the population who wish to continue the struggle and fight against all adversities, there is no way that we will fail. Are we going to surrender now, that success is about to be grasped? Are we going to let these nuisances destroy our hope? Of course not, we are Filipinos! And we are considered as the strongest people in the world in terms of adversities that may come in our way.
Stand tall and firm, because once you’re into these never ending affairs of challenges and tribulations, all you have to do is to rely on one another and lift each other’s arms and shoulders. Since we’re all utilizing every available resource we have conscientiously, efficiently and harmoniously, then there’s no way that we will fail!

NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATION 2012
"Pagkain ng Gulay Ugaliin, Araw-araw itong Ihain"
Most of us are suffering from financial problem where we are spending for the everyday needs of every family particularly the food intake, Usually we're used to buy restaurant foods of popularly called as fast foods whereas food that is prepared and served quickly although we can't get nutrition facts from it like cholesterol, calories and most especially dietary facts which is twice as many calories. One more thing is lack of time so they prefer to buy restaurant foods.
Generally, all I want to inform is better to eat homemade menus than fast foods. For the children especially for those who really hates veggies. At first place, parents should introduce vegetables to their kids every meal instead of frozen foods, in can or other kind of foods which cannot give nutrition fats. Don't use to give them greasy and oily foods like burger, fried potatoes, friend chicken. Better give them nutritious vegetables which helps them stay fit and healthy. Vegetables are very important to our lives. These can make our body function well. We can get good benefits from eating these. It can also provide withal growths for the proper growth and maintenance of our body.
Here are some of the vitamins we can get from vegetables:
VITAMIN A - helps cell reproduction. It also stimulates immunity and is needed for formation of some hormones. It helps vision and promoters bone growth, tooth development, and helps maintain healthy skin, hair, and mucous membranes. It has been shown to be an effective preventive against measles. Examples: Guava, Papaya, Mango, Tomatoes, Watermelon, Potato, Squash
VITAMIN B (THIAMINE) - is important in the production of energy. It helps body cells convert carbohydrates into energy. It is also essential for the functioning of the heart, muscles, and nervous system. Not getting enough thiamine can leave one fatigued and weak. Examples: Squash, Okra, Beans, Potatoes
VITAMIN B2 (RIBOFLAVIN) - is important for body growth, reproduction and red cell production. It also helps in releasing energy from carbohydrates. Examples: Mushrooms, Squash, Potatoes

VITAMIN B9 (FOLATE & FOLIC ACID) - are both forms of B9. Folate occurs naturally in fresh foods, whereas folic acid is the synthetic form found in supplements.
VITAMIN B12 - is important for metabolism. It helps in the formation of red blood cells and in the maintenance of the central nervous system.
VITAMIN C - is one of the most important of all vitamins. It plays a significant role as an antioxidant, thereby protecting body tissue from the damage of oxidation. Antioxidants act to protect your cells against the effects of free radicals, which are potentially damaging by-products of the body's metabolism.
VITAMIN D - is known as the "sunshine vitamin" since it is manufactured by the body after being exposed to sunshine. Ten to fifteen minutes of good sunshine three times weekly is adequate to produce the body's requirement of Vitamin D.
VITAMIN E - plays a significant role as an antioxidant, thereby protecting body tissue from the damage of oxidation. It is important in the formation of red blood cells and the use of Vitamin K. Many women also use it to help minimize the appearance pf wrinkles and mothers use it to help heal minor wounds without scarring, as it is valued for it's ability to soothe and heal broken or stressed skin tissue.
VITAMIN K - is fat soluble and play a critical role in blood clotting. It regulates blood calcium levels and activates at least 3 proteins involved in bone health.
Lastly, these vitamins are very important to us, to our body because without these our body system can't function well. Lack of vitamins can cause death and DON'T YOU KNOW THAT EATING FROZEN FOODS AND CAN GOODS MAY CAUSE CANCER?

LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT
Dear P-noy,
I know that you're busy right now for the reason that of the full schedule as a president of the Republic of the Philippines. Maybe all of us are knowledgeable for knowing how hard and firm being a bellwether of this country but hoping that you would have the time to read this letter of mine.
By the way, I'm one of the students of Ilocos Sur National High School who had given a chance to make a missive for you.
But before I start, A pleasant day to you and your good office and I hope you're in a pinky of health.
Knowing that one of the reason why you bravely faced being a leader and a president of this country is to change the mistakes and to solve the main problems of the past administration. But because you've shown at the first place that you deserve to sit at the Malacañang's presidential chair, we, Filipinos voted you.
Last 2010, all of us heard all of your platforms for the progress of our economics from your State of the Nation Address. As you said, "Matuwid na Landas" is what you are desiring for. Demand of supply, over population, high crime rates, poor health care, poor education system are some of the biggest problems facing by Philippines, especially corruption in government where they're using these for their own wants instead for the needs of us. This corruption is where the rich mans stay rich while poor ones stays poor.
For almost one and a half years of being president, we have seen all of the amendments of our economy. Government programs and services are such as an instrument to reach the staircase of success.
I salute you for all the efforts and perseverance you've bestowed for us. Hopefully this simple letter I've made and sent suffices you as an inspiration for the continuous prosperity of our beloved country. May God bless us all.
Respectfully yours,
Louise Jesse Rebullo
